FAQs

Why my container candle has wet spots between the wax and glass?

A wet spot occurs when the wax pulls away from the edge of the container. Spot is caused by shrinkage and air bubbles that occur as the wax is cooling inside the container. It is common with natural soy wax and does not affect the burnability of our candles.

Why my candle has a frosting on the surface?

Frosting is a white crystalline layer forming on the surface of natural soy wax. It takes place when the wax used to make a candle tries to return to its natural state. It is also a perfectly natural effect of soy wax. Frosting only has aesthetic impact, and not affect how your candles burn or scent throw.

Why the light colour (white) part of my candles being smudged or penetrated by the joining dark colour part?

This is due to the penetrability of the colour dyes used. Smudging or penetrating might happen in few weeks after the candles being made. They only have impacts on the looking of the candles, but do not affect how your candles being burned or scent being threw.

Why my candle has tunnelling around the wick?

Tunnelling occurs when only a smalll portion of the wax around the wick melts and burns down, leaving hard wax around the outside. It normally happens when you burn the candle for a very short while repeatedly. In order to prevent tunnelling, we recommend you to burn the candle at least 1 hour for the first time until the entire surface melts.
